The two cameras that I use most often:
I've had this Pentax for nearly 20 years, taken tens of thousands of pics with
it and had thousands of those printed in magazines. Quality kit!
When I did photography at college, this was the little rangefinder camera that
everyone wanted to carry about in their pocket: the Olympus 35RC.
I searched on the web and was surprised to discover that it cost £120 new
in 1980 (it had been around ten years by then). Which is more than I paid for
the Pentax!
I bought this particular Olympus about 5 years ago for £35 to replace one
that got wrecked on the one and only occasion I lent out equipment to someone.
It's an amazing little camera with a superb quality lens.
It wasn't the cost of replacing it that annoyed me. It was the fact that the person
had been careless and it took me ages to find a replacement. During which time
I was without the camera.
So now I have a policy of never loaning any equipment that I use for work!
Very tired after a stressful day and I have a headache. I don't often get like
this. Sometimes it ISN'T possible to completely get away from it all!
