Time for another haircut...
Just a quick one this time, with the clippers on zero all over. Blending it in
from zero on the sides and back, to number one or two on top, takes about five times
as long.
A peeping tom in my bathroom...!
ACCIDENT
Don't know if you can see from this picture but I had a slight accident earlier
in the week. I overbalanced and fell against a rough edge on a sheet of plywood
and grazed the back of my shoulder (I was wearing a vest at the time).
Last night, after it had healed somewhat, I discovered that there were still a
load of splinters in it and I had to remove them. Not easy...

RATS
The sad news is that my last pet rat (the brown and white one) passed away earlier
this week. It wasn't unexpected but it feels odd having no rodents around the
place.
It's hard to believe that just 2 1/2 years ago they were the five little wriggling
pink things in this photograph. |
Although I've kept pet rats, on and off, since 1982, this
litter was a bit special as they were the first I'd had from birth. Will I get
some more? Maybe in the Autumn when my holidays are
over.
ON-CAMERA MORE
I finally got sorted out with that flat-rate Internet Access. In the end I signed
up with Freeserve on their £10 a month deal. If you route £10 of voice
calls via them each month, then the 'net is effectively free. Except that they
haven't switched on the voice part of my service so far.
However it means that I'm going to be live on camera an awful lot more from now
on :-)
Oh and then good old British Telecom disconnected my line yet again on Friday.
The seventh time in two-and-half years that it has been disconnected accidently.
It looked as though I might be without the service over the weekend so I wrote
a couple of letters -- one to the Chief Executive of BT (whom I have written to
before) and the other to OFTEL (the regulator). Then I 'phoned BT and told them
I had written the letters.
Guess what? My line was back on within three hours of that second call...
