GayFest went out with a whimper instead of a bang tonight when, after waiting 90 minutes, we all gradually came to the realisation that there wasn't going to be an end-of-event firework display.

Fireworks had been advertised and, as far as I can remember, have always happened on the last night -- even ten years ago when the event was tiny.

Disappointing...
