Large fluffy snowflakes began falling this morning.
In the last couple of days, foot and mouth restrictions have been lifted on the
few remaining counties where they were still in force. Hopefully that means the
whole awful thing is over.
Some crazy people walking up the hill ;-)
The sheep seem to be perfectly placed in this image. Almost as though some heavenly
designer has put them in place to create the best-possible composition!
Cooking dinner....
Exactly twenty years ago tonight I was in a cinema, filming
a documentary about it closing. Sometimes I think that was one of the most worthwhile
things I have done in my life...
Not only did I preserve a record of life there, in photographs and on video, but
the finished video got me a place at University studying film and TV production
for three years.
The scarey thing, thinking back, is I remember very clearly trying to get up the
courage to go and knock on the door of the cinema to ask if I could make the film.
I was shy and hated having to meet and talk with new people. So it was very much:
'Should I? Shouldn't I?'. And, being a lazy teenager: 'Can I really be bothered?'.
Finally, I got up the courage and did it. Of course I'm so glad now. There must
be a moral there for me somewhere ;-)
And no those are not the same green trousers from 1981 that I'm wearing tonight!
