I can't believe that it's March already.
It said on the news that this has been the sunniest British winter ever. Plants
are going mad apparently.
But maybe Spring is in the air now... Two teenage girls whistled at me when I
was out shopping yesterday.
Or perhaps they were just short-sighted. Or looking for a father figure. Either
way, I can't remember the last time that happened and it made me smile.
I was rather more interested in the good-looking Chinese student who walked past
me this afternoon and who looked at me for just that little bit too long ;-)
He was short, with a nice build and was wearing bright-blue Adidas track bottoms.
They didn't leave much to the imagination, especially when I looked back after
he'd passed me.
Another guy who passed, looked very like my long-term ex when he was aged about
20: good-looking with blue-eyes and tousled brown hair. He kept looking back at
me as he crossed the road.
But that could be scary -- getting involved someone who is the spitting image
of a previous partner!
Then finally I was cruised very blatantly by a third guy near the gay area. Handsome
too. We looked as we passed. Then I turned and looked back and so did he. Then
again...
God knows why I'm getting all this attention. I thought I was looking a bit spotty
today and by the time of the third guy I was heading home and wet through.
Yes, it has been raining here none stop for the last three days (11mm in 12 hours
today). I'd put off going out for as long as I could. But by this morning I had
run out of milk, bread and cereal.
The other thing is that I'm not feeling the least bit horny at the moment. So
maybe there's a 'couldn't care less/I'm not interested' aura that attracts people.
I can't wait for Monday because that's when several big work cheques clear and
I will have a bit of spare cash at last. Money has been a bit tight since Christmas,
as I've had problems with one particular company. They have only just paid me
for work that I did last July.
The joys of being a self-employed person. But I love it really!
