Time to do a bit more of that painting outdoors... The whole
house needs doing about every 4 years. Some of the window frames (not the one shown below) are original (80 years old) and in pretty good shape.
 A
single storey cottage stood on the site until the 1920's, then they were rebuilt
with an upper floor, using the original stone I reckon...
Some of the huge stones (left) probably came from the castle which stood a few
hundred yards away until early Victorian times.
Well, that's quite enough painting I think. Zzzzzz
I took off my shirt and the sun disappeared immediately...
I remember where I got this old shirt now... Eight years ago I was working full-time
on a magazine and a women's mag that shared the same building had a bit of a jumble
sale to raise money for charity.
They sold off all the promotional 'freebies' that had been given to them over
the previous year, and this shirt was one of them.
