I've had a problem with the main part of the GarySeven site, which has been hosted
on free space on VirginNet for the last 18 months.
Anyway, it seems Virgin decided that people would no longer be able to upload
files to their webspace unless they dialled in using a VirginNet connection, which
involves paying by the minute.
I guess they have to make money somehow though, in practice, its a total pain
in the neck and makes it impossible to run a webcam on their space.
In fact, since that change a week ago, I haven't been able to get in to update
my pages, no matter what I did. Two unanswered e-mails to support later and the
problem has mysteriously cleared.
I've had a series of little problems with them over the last few months and I
think its now time to make other arrangements before this happens again!
Anyway I'm having a wonderful time here. Enjoying the sun and fresh air. I put
together two window boxes.
I got out my toolbox, looking for some glue. You won't believe what I was trying
to fix...
The pink bit had fallen off my 'pink triangle' badge. I'd decided to wear it on
the basis that it 'pays to advertise'.
Basically, if there IS any available talent around here, it needs every encouragement.
I'm not sure there is any, but I have seen a couple of hunky farm workers, including
a cute skinhead driving a tractor :-)
I used to have this big fantasy about some country stud climbing over the garden
fence and knocking on my back door (no jokes please, this is serious).
A photo of one of my cats. A little siamese that I owned ten years ago. In the
picture she's looking out from one of the windows of this house.
She used to love wearing her collar and would even walk to heel on a lead. She
was a stray that we took in, so maybe she liked the whole idea of having an owner?
In the photo she's wearing her identity tag so proudly -- almost as though it's
a medal. She was sweet. I miss her.
