I'm heading off down to Manchester later
this morning and I'll be staying for a few days.
I'm looking forward to it... Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that.
Apart from my birthday, I haven't been out of this village for six weeks. The
thought of the bustling city seems exciting once again. Though I guess I'll soon
get over the novelty!
My current hectic schedule being what it is, I only just got round to putting
up some of my photos (right) from my last Manchester visit back in January.
The middle pic was taken one afternoon when I went to check out the local Oxfam
shop with my friend Diane. It's near the University and we had a nice lunch in
a nearby vegetarian cafe where she snapped this shot of me.
As you can see, I also found time to do a spot of baking during my stay.
The photo below was taken more recently and is of the churchyard in the village
here. It loses something at such a small size.
So I'm off for a little while and, as I'll be away from my PC, it's unlikely there'll
be any updates until my return and no Photo of the Week next Sunday.
However, I'm going to be taking lots of pics while I'm away!
