I didn't sleep well last night. Been up since
early. Feel and look awful! I cooked myself a mid-afternoon rissotto. Very good...
Bacon, carrot, onion, mushrooms, broccolli, white wine, stock, carrot juice, arborio
rice.
Told you I look awful today :-)
As you know, while I'm cooking, I tend to look out of the window and spot all
the wildlife. I get the impression there are some birds nesting in the garden,
including a pair of thrushes. They are beautiful. No sign yet of the swallows,
which often nest in the covered passageway between the houses.
Here's a photo I took of the baby swallows one year, on the day they left the
nest. They were flying around for a bit and then returning to perch on the ladders
which hang on the wall of the passageway, next to the nest site. Of course, later
that day they were off for good.
