The day of the Mardi Gras parade and, guess what? It was
raining again. In fact, I think this is the third successive year it has rained
on the morning of this event! Grrrrrr...
But, as on previous years, the weather improved by the time the floats were due
to wind their way through the streets of Manchester city centre.
This year I got myself a raised viewpoint by standing on a wall outside of the
art gallery on Princess Street. Then, once everything had passed, I took a shortcut
down to Oxford Road and watched some of it go by again.
Not quite as good as last year, I thought. But that could be due to all the drama
this week over Mardi Gras being cancelled... (see yesterday).
Of course I'll be putting up a gallery when I have all the pics processed.
