I have such nice friends :-) Miss Noodle ordered a mobile 'phone online as
a present for my birthday six weeks ago. It didn't arrive on time so she bought
me a book instead.
This week it looked as though my ancient old 'phone was going to croak... But
then I discovered the battery contacts had unscrewed a bit. I tightened them up
and everything was working OK again.
Anyway, Miss Noodle arrived with a box and to my surprise announced that she
was giving me the new 'phone, as she'd got it for me originally (it did turn up
eventually). I assumed she'd returned it...
Maybe she was worried we might be out of contact for more than five minutes
;-)
