When they expanded the Manchester Royal Infirmary some decades ago, this row of
terraced houses became part of the hospital. They were used as offices. But now
they're being demolished.
It's
a bit sad, as they're some of the last remaining buildings of this type in the
area. With no front garden and a bay window that extends right onto the pavement,
they're just like 'Coronation Street'.
Forty years ago there would have been hundreds of streets of this kind around
here, immediately south of Manchester city centre.
My model from a couple of weeks back called to see the photographs from our shoot.
He seemed to like them.
He asked if I would take a couple of extra pics for his personal use. So he ended
up in the red shorts again and I also snapped him taking a break on my balcony
(above).
Meanwhile, the hanging baskets are coming on OK...
