Off to Rusholme this afternoon for my final visit
to the dentist. Walking back, I spotted this poster
that had been scribbled on... Often these comments are
a lot more interesting than the original poster.
It's advertising a fly-on-the-wall TV series about
the eccentric former boxer Chris Eubank. In a rather
neat comment about the modern (pretty sickening) obsession
with celebrities, someone has written 'your own life
means zero'.
My former next-door neighbour calls round for a giggle
and chat.
I have a new penfriend in the USA. He's a prisoner. A lot of these guys are
desperate for a friend to write to.
When I began to look through the prisoners I was shocked to find there are
guys who are serving 20 or 30 years but who haven't killed anyone. I can't begin
to imagine being locked up for that amount of time. What a waste of a life...
