...earlier this day
I love the design of this building, which is at Leeds. Underneath are some quick
experiments I did using part of this image in Photoshop...
We reached York and I changed onto the northbound London
to Edinburgh service. It was nice and quiet :-) |

Passing over the River Tyne at Newcastle. A new footbridge was built across the
River to mark the Millennium. It opens like an eye to let ship ships pass through.
But you can't see it in this shot. For a reverse-angle of this view see this Photo
of the Week.
My final destination and I got off the train with my four huge bags. During the
journey I was thinking that I'm getting too old to carry so much luggage. When
I was teaching, I used to have to carry loads of stuff from here down south.
But, what's this? After all these years they've finally installed a lift, so I
don't have to carry my luggage up the stairs and over the footbridge across the
track! The mystery is how they've got away with not having one all these years.
It must have been a nightmare for the disabled...
A short bus ride and I'm back... And it's only mid-day! |
