I finally managed to get a pic of the thrush.
Whenever I look out of the window, that bird is always there on the grass with
its head cocked to one side, listening. Then suddenly it sticks its beak into
the ground and starts a tug-of-war with a juicey worm.
Changing the subject, it's bad news if you're one of my plants. I just found out
I'm going to have to head back to Manchester for a few weeks.
This has wrecked my plans. It would be OK if I was only away for a week. But I'm
going to be gone for at least a month. So, the plants will have to go out into
the garden instead of into window boxes.
Poor babies... ;-) I'm not sure how well they'll get along without me. We have
a lot of slugs and snails here and I'm going to have to rely on the thrush to
eat the pests before they get to my tasty seedlings! Can't put slug pellets down
as they might hurt the birds.
