The road to the stadium

So it's all over and it'll be a long time before something as big as the Commonwealth Games happens in Manchester again.

I was up (very) early this morning and once again the stadium was lit with colour. Not fireworks this time, but a Manchester sunrise...

The warm morning light also caught the brightly-coloured flags that line every main street at the moment.


Perhaps the busiest Sunday ever!

I didn't feel sad about it being over, I felt happy that it has been such a big success and has happened without a hitch.
