I still haven't quite made it back to Manchester... I keep on finding things I
want to do here. But it's likely I'll be back next Monday.
Self-assessment tax returns have to be in by 31st January and I like to take mine
into the Inland Revenue office in Manchester rather than risk posting it. There's
a £100 ($150) fine if it goes in late!
So, I've been doing my books for the year. Somehow I never manage to update them
each month and always have them all to do in January.
Besides that, I've been working hard on lots of other stuff. Business is good
and I'm really excited about the coming year. In fact, I'm practically jumping
up and down in excitement at a couple of great new projects that I'm about to
start when I get back. One involving photography.
Being self-employed can be hard sometimes. But it can also be bloody wonderful.
Often I thank my lucky stars that I'm able to make a living doing what I do.
