The snow had cleared so I climbed up the ladder and took a look at the walls.
The mortar between the stones is crumbling quite badly. I'll have to fix it this
summer.
There's also a big crack along the top of the kitchen window, which isn't visible
from the ground.
I'm packing up ready to travel first thing tomorrow. I've decided I going to
buy a new PC! I'll leave the old one here. Which means no more carrying around
computer equipment. Yeah! :-)
I was hoping to get a laptop. But prices for desktop systems are now so low,
it makes sense to get one of those. So, no PC for a day or so when I get back.
Great news from Manchester too... Finally, from the middle of April, I'll be
able to have a DSL connection. That's assuming there's no problem with the antique
wiring in the block where I live...
