'E' my neighbour has been raving about a restaurant called Nawaab in Levenshulme
-- which is a couple of miles up the road from where we live in Manchester city
centre. So 'E', myself and Miss Noodle paid it a visit tonight.
The restaurant is in an old cinema building and they have done a terrific job
on it. The entrance has posters and photos from Bollywood movies -- a nice touch
-- and the restaurant is where the stalls would have been. I have seen so many
great old cinema buildings torn down, it is marvellous to see one being put to
a new use in this way.
The food is served as a buffet. 'All you can eat' for £10 ($15), with
a vast range of different dishes. It was superb. I'm feeling hungry just writing
about it!
Fifteen years ago I was searching for a small terraced house to buy and looked
at one which is at the side of this same building. At the end of the garden was
a 50ft brick wall -- the side of the cinema. Imagine having this restaurant just
a few yards away. I would never be out of the place!
Miss Noodle's only concern is that she ate way too much...
